Do I have to be a pharmacist or historian to join the BSHP?
No, anyone with an interest in pharmacy history is very welcome to join BSHP. Some of our members are practising pharmacists and / or practicing historians, some are retired pharmacists, but many have other backgrounds. The majority of members are just keen to find out more
I don't live in Britain. Is the BSHP for me?
We have a number of overseas members, and a digital subscription option for the Pharmaceutical Historian journal. International members are welcome to join us at events if they are in Britain, and everyone is welcome at our free online talks. You can also join our community on Facebook and Twitter.
I have a query about pharmacy history. Can you help?
Contact us at info@bshp.org and we will do our best! There is also a great deal of information available on the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Museum's website including information sheets and online exhibitions.
I'd like to attend one of your events. How do I book a place?
Our evening lectures are free to attend and mostly held online via Zoom and YouTube. You can find links to register for individual talks on our Events page. To attend our conference, summer visit or other events, find more details on the relevant webpages, or contact us at events@bshp.org
